A brawl at the clubhouse of a plush Pretoria estate at the weekend ended in the alleged shooting of an employee, with a homeowner in court facing charges of attempted murder and assault.
The picturesque Woodhill Residential Estate and Country Club, which sports a pristine golf course and a fine dining restaurant among the 800 homes, was marred by a violent incident on Saturday evening.
According to police, a 36-year-old man had an “altercation with a group of people” at the clubhouse, which led to him reportedly assaulting one man and shooting an employee at the estate.
