Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky African leaders left his country with a ‘better understanding’.
KYIV. – President Cyril Ramaphosa left meetings in Kyiv with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky in June, having changed his mind about the nature of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In a wide-ranging interview with a group of journalists, including News24, from 10 African countries on Tuesday at the Office of the President in Bankova Street, Zelensky answered a series of questions related to his country’s relationship with African nations.
“Six African leaders came to Ukraine. I believe some came with very mixed emotions and information, but we could look each other in the eye, and they could see what Russia has done,” he said.
