MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte is the country’s caretaker while President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is in the United States for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.
“VP Sara is gov’t caretaker,” Presidential Communications Office Sec. Cheloy Garafil told reporters.
Marcos is set to attend various business meetings in the Apec Summit in San Francisco.
In the last leg of Marcos’ trip, he will go to the Indo-Pacific command in Honolulu. He will also meet the Filipino community there.
